  Author Biography

  He was born in 1964 in Sivas center Kartalca village. He graduated from Kayseri Imam-Hatip High School in 1984 and from Marmara University Faculty of Theology in 1989. He completed his master's degree at the Institute of Social Sciences of the same university in 1991 and his doctorate in 1997. In 1992-1993, he spent 8 months in Damascus to conduct research in his field. He taught at Turkmenistan State University Faculty of Theology in 1999-2000 academic year. He received the title of Assistant Professor in 1999, Associate Professor in 2004, and Professor in 2010. Between 2012-2015, he served as the Dean of Abant İzzet Baysal University Faculty of Theology. From 2018 to 2019, he worked at Cyprus Social Sciences University's Faculty of Religious Sciences. Between 2015-2020, he served as a member of the High Board of Religious Affairs of the Presidency of Religious Affairs. He is currently a faculty member at Bursa Uludağ University, Faculty of Theology, Department of Theology. He continues his studies on the conceptions of God and the universe in Islamic thought, current religious issues, the relationship between theology, Sufism, and philosophy, and the formation and development processes of theological schools. He is married and has two children.
