Authors

The Turkish Symposium of Social Sciences (TSBS) is organized online in cooperation with Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and the Oku Okut Association. Since its inception in 2021, this symposium has been held annually, bringing together scholars and graduate students in the field of social sciences, strengthening interdisciplinary interaction, and providing continuity to the academic ecosystem.

The fifth symposium, held on August 25–31, 2025, received 127 paper submissions in the fields of philosophy, theology, psychology, sociology, and history. Following a preliminary review and double-blind peer evaluation, 86 papers were accepted, corresponding to an acceptance rate of 67.72%. Including co-authored works, 100 researchers from 28 institutions presented papers, while a total of 202 scholars from 60 institutions and organizations contributed to the event.

Beyond serving as a platform for scientific exchange, the symposium also functioned as a “practical paper-writing school” for young researchers. Particularly, papers submitted by master’s and doctoral students were meticulously reviewed by the Scientific Board and referees, resulting in 282 detailed feedback reports being shared with the authors. In this way, the symposium aimed to enhance research quality and provide guidance to early-career academics.

The digital infrastructure of the event was built on a bilingual OJS-based system, ensuring permanent open access to abstracts, keywords, video recordings, and participation certificates. This book contains the Turkish and English abstracts of the accepted papers, thereby gaining archival value and providing permanent international accessibility to the symposium’s outputs.
