This abstract booklet contains the abstracts of the papers presented at the symposium entitled Sectarian Structures and Social Dynamics in the Iranian Geographical Region, organized by the Faculty of Theology at Bursa Uludağ University. The paper abstracts primarily focus on sectarian structures in the Iranian geographical region, with particular emphasis on Shiism. These structures are examined on the basis of the religious and social dynamics that have come to the fore in Iran from the past to the present, following a chronological framework as far as possible. In addition to sectarian structures and their formation, the booklet addresses relations between Shiʿism and Sunnism, as well as religious thought and sectarian debates in contemporary Iran. The booklet includes abstracts of 28 presentations related to the scope of the symposium, presented in both Turkish and English.
