Aslen Yozgatlı olan Demir, 1980 yılında Kırşehir’de doğdu. İlk, orta ve lise öğrenimini Kırıkkale’de tamamladı. Uludağ Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi’nden mezun oldu (2002). Aynı üniversitenin Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü’nde “Mâtürîdî Kelâm Ekolünde Mukallidin İmanı” adlı teziyle yüksek lisansını (2006), “Ebû İshâk Zâhid es-Saffâr’ın Kelâm Yöntemi” adlı araştırmasıyla da Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü’nde doktorasını tamamladı (2014).Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı’nda imam-hatip, Kur’ân kursu öğreticisi, vaiz ve cezaevi vaizi olarak çalıştı (2003-2010). Akabinde Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi’nde araştırma görevlisi ve öğretim üyesi olarak görev yaptı (2011-2017). 2015-2016 yıllarında The University of Nottingham’da doktora sonrası araştırmasını yürüttü ve hâlen Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt Üniversitesi İslami İlimler Fakültesi’nde Kelâm Anabilim Dalı öğretim üyesi olarak görevini sürdürmektedir.

Oku Okut Publishing can also publish master's and doctoral theses; to be considered for publication, these works must be revised or otherwise modified to make them appealing to the wider audience.

Okut Okut Publishing embraces open access, non-commercial, scientific publishing. We share studies with our readers free of charge in e-book formats when they are considered appropriate for publication upon review processes and the decision of the editorial board.

Each publication includes a 500-word Turkish and English abstract, and a unique DOI number is assigned to it.
