The Qur'anic Studies Series by Oku Okut Press features scholarly works examining classical and contemporary approaches to the interpretation of the Qur’an through rigorous academic methods. Topics include narrative (riwāyah), rational (‘dirāyah’), and allegorical (ishārī) schools of tafsīr, exegetical methodologies, historical context of revelation, semantics and hermeneutics of the Qur’an, literary and thematic exegesis, and modern interpretive challenges. The series also welcomes interdisciplinary research on Qur’anic hermeneutics, gender- or ecology-based readings, and its relationship with contemporary Islamic thought.
